Vogue Fall 2018 Coverage – Nicholas K

Their lookbook is a visual love story to Peru that begins in the ruins of Machu Picchu and then winds through salt mines and hot springs until the models find themselves in the sweeping highlands where the alpacas graze on volcanic grass. The clothes were loosely inspired by Morochucos, or Andean cowboys, but the Kunzes also felt a resonance with Alejandro Jodorowsky’s The Holy Mountain, a Surrealist ’70s film whose influence can be seen in the tall peaked hats.
